or on a larger scale a tiger vs a saltwater crocodile. i dont quite know why you mentioned using the smallest cat for battle. but ratios make everything alot more simple. i will give an example of what i am saying. ( THIS IS NOT FACTS JUST RANDOM NUMBERS)
a saltwater crocodiles size in comparison to a cuvier's dwarf caiman is
11:1
a tiger vs a saltie is a fair battle it hasbeen done before i believe. so we would need to find a cat fitting into the ratio.
11:1 so that they are evenly matched. -_-

I understand what you're saying. What I'm saying though is if you were to find a cat that is considered the best fighter and I were to find the best crocodile to win a fight. Yes the size/weight difference would be unfair but we are looking at who would win the fight as they are and the crocodile would obviously use its size to its advantage.

i dont think you quite understand my argument. smallest dinosaur vs smallest dog = compsognathus vs chihuahua......then if you were to say lets make it equal......largest dinosaur againt largest dog.... you see where i am going. we have to find a ratio that equals them out or it will be Sauroposeidon vs gray wolf......or if it were carnivores only it would be spinosaurus and gray wolf. the spinosaurus's skull equals the lenght of an adult gray wolf.....fair...i think not

Were not looking for a fair fight, were looking for a fair comparison.

now you are just picking hairs. a fair comparison in this study would be a fight.....we wouldnt compare sizes and strengths without actually making the fight plausible.

We are talking about who would win a fight if they happen to run into each other in nature. We wouldn't shrink one to have a fair fight. A fair comparison would be to keep each as they are and fight each other.

whe i wrote "then using ratios we shrink them down while keeping the battle equal."
i did not mean to shrink a tiger and a saltwater crocodile.
You Don't seem to understand the scientifics of what you are asking. you seem to know alot about crocodilians and i, felidae.
you say smallest vs smallest. and they are both less than a metre long the two smallest. what i am saying it a fairer way of finding a good fight with neither being overpowered, the fight is meant to be like a jaguar vs a caiman
