  • Sorry, not jumping all over you. I have seen too many riders thing they get more power if they remove the muffler and ride around the trails. For riders that don't want our trails closed this is an issue. As for the engine, I can't comment on how long it would take to damage a DR. Google it, wosrt case is if you left it off you will be in need of some value maintenance.

like I said,it was running without the muffler for about a minute, just for this clip,no more,no less. I see your point of view, fortunately,I'm not that case. People with loud racing mufflers, riding around in woods, where it bothers other people piss me off more.'cause thats why a lot of people hate us....its got the worst influence on peoples opinions towards bikers..and the good guys are hated too, just because of the bad ones.but what can you do about it?.nothing..just deal with it..

  • Why are you running it with out the muffler. You don't ride it on the street like that do you? These bikes are not designed to run with out some sort of back preasure from a muffler. Stock or Aftermarket. Plus, if there are noise restrictions in your area you risk getting a ticket. That's why.

oh god, stop it....you're acting like I did something terrible...I'm sure the minute without a muffler totally ruined the bike....i was just changing the gasket between the muffler and the header pipe and just wanted to try what it sounds like without the muffler...plus its at our cottage in the middle of woods where it didn't bother anybody....so please, dont judge before you got all the details...cheers

  • why?
