It was created in Brazil by slaves brought from Africa, especially from present day Angola some time after the 16th century. It was developed in the regions known as Bahia, Pernambuco and Rio de Janeiro. Participants form a roda, or circle, and take turns either playing musical instruments (such as the Berimbau), singing, or ritually sparring in pairs in the center of the circle.

CAPOEIRA itself has originated in Brazil and is thus known as an Afro-Brazillian art form. It has African AND Brazillian influences. However it ORIGINATES from Ancient African techniques.
You're right and wrong about it. Capoeira itself is a Brazillian folk dance/martial art that originated in Brazil, but its true that it couldn't have been created if it hadn't been for the Africans who were transported to Brazil.
If you're gonna argue, throw out real facts instead of blind insults.
The fighting style is called Capoeira, just so you know.

I was close considering that I was too lazy to look it up on Wikipedia which I did know about. *cough*Kanelmada*cough* Besides, as long as I have fun, I don't care what the fighting style is. :P
