Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi, the Shah (king) of Iran takes power in a coup planned and supported by the USA and UK secret services (Operation Ajax). He topples the flourishing and popular democracy of Mohammed Mossadeq.

Mossadeq had stated that the mineral wealth of the country should benefit its citizens. This did not please the Western oil companies. The parliament had nationalised UK oil concessions that were reaping 88% of the profits from the country's oil industry. Iran had offered the UK 25% of the profits. The UK responded by imposing a blockade on Iran and freezing Iranian assets.

After the coup, oil concessions are given to USA and UK companies - Anglo-Iranian Oil is renamed British Petroleum.

Internal dissent is crushed by the secret police. This brutal regime terrorises the country for 25 years and is eventually displaced by Ayatollah Khomeini's equally brutal regime in 1979.

The new regime is described by the USA newspaper, the New York Times (6 August) as "good news indeed" and sends out a chilling warning:

"Underdeveloped countries with rich resources now have an object lesson in the heavy cost that must be paid by one of their number which goes berserk with fanatical nationalism. It is perhaps too much to hope that Iran's experience will prevent the rise of Mossadeqs in other countries, but that experience may at least strengthen the hands of more reasonable and more far-seeing leaders."

In the above quote, fanatical nationalism means being independent economically of the USA while reasonable and far-seeing mean compliant.

The American CIA first uses the term Blowback. It is a metaphor for the unintended consequences of the USA government's international activities that have been kept secret from the American people. The term is coined during the Iranian coup. In Iran, a flourishing democracy is converted to a brutal dictatorship which becomes an anti-West theocracy (rule by religion).
I must point out, ISRAEL is another theocracy, and it's also the country with the most humanitarian and UN Violations, and it's totally protected by the USA, as evidenced by USA's voting record in the UN.

  • The video was not my original creation. I posted it after the originator lost his account on YouTube. I few others followed suit and posted the same video. In essence, I find the contents quite revealing. I agree the music is not the best, but then it was not my choice.

  • The prevention of cultural and ethnic genocide is why people accepts nationalism. Nationalist countries where their people are first are much better off. Multicultural societies have failed over and over again throughout recorded history. Mass immigration without assimilation creates division. You divide, and you conquer; Diversity divides.

You truly believe the more different we are the better we get along and stronger we are? That's irrationality in my opinion. Personally I believe in Unity.

  • Yes but our founding fathers weren't for Nationalism either. This country is about Sovereignty. No way do we wanna give that up. I know I don't. Over my dead body!

  • Quite true. I am not a supporter of Nationalism. Personally, I believe we should get back in track with what the founding fathers originally intended. unfortunately the people at the steering wheel have an extremely different direction akin to totalitarianism along communist lines. Of course, they won't come to us saying what it really is or there would be a revolt; thats why they lie and embellish with help of the mass media.

  • @ElLocoPuma I would suggest that people look into the constitution party, if the Tea Partry people really wish to become somethng to be reckonded with than they should join forces withe the constitution party. As it stands the Tea Party has been hijacked by the Republican party and therefore made a non entity and a pawn.

  • If I understand this right, the CFR wants the US to go all the way and become Empire and do so by being expertly coached by the elites with the accumulated knowledge of how to go about it. US is to enlarge its borders by economic then political absorption of states around the US. And concurrently, serve the interest of the resurrected ancient Roman Empire aka The Beast, which suffered a lethal blow and collapsed and remained so a thousand years. It is very much alive and working through the CFR.

  • Agreed

  • CFR= Council of Foreign relations. A very wealthy orginization with rich people like the Rockefellers running it. They are for 'free trade" and no borders (already happened in Europe), with a goal of making each contenent one nation, with an ultimate goal of a "one world goverment". The purpose of this is to enrich mutli-lateral corporations, wiping out the worlds middle class, and having only two classes...the very rich, and the poor.

  • what does CFR mean?

  • The US and Mexico can take this and shove it up their ass! Canada forever! US and America are mere criminal, not universal healthcare fascist states and we want nothing to do with you!
