  • isn´t it cowlesi?

  • @elapidkeeper30

Aspidelaps lubricus cowlesi is the Angolan Coral Cobra, this is infuscatus, the Western Coral Cobra.

  • @elapidkeeper30 According to John Marias' book 'A complete guide to the snakes of Southern Africa', cowlesii has a pale brown head, while infuscatus has a black head. We do not know the geographic origin of this snake, so we can only go by the markings.

  • Who's rattling in the background?

  • I agree that it's a Namibian... aka infuscatus.

Although infuscatus and cowlesi were combined so both are now cowlesi.

  • @TheInflicted

Maybe if it gets in the eye of the opponent, they might leg go?

  • That tail-stabbing behavior seems unusual from an evolutionary standpoint. Any theories?
