Could someone please transcribe what she says after 4:35? I don't understand her because of the background noise...

umm but your not suppose to play tug a war with a dog. It shows them that its ok to challenge you.

Like your method and how you explain it to us, although with my 45 kg male dobie it is much harder to apply

@taekwongr Thanks! I know, Dobermans can be challenging thanks to their energy level! (why I picked this dog for the video) If I were to update this video, I would add to stop and practice a relaxed down (lay down, roll hip and relax) intermittently on the walk, and also practicing focusing and intermittently stopping and respoding to cues. A Halti works wonders in conjunction with training, you have to introduce that slowly too though.

Hey! I don't 'subscribe' as a matter of course, but i only needed to watch this clip as far as 1.50 to recognise someone who actually 'knows' what they are doing and is capable of training and modification outside of a sterile arena.
Well done, refreshing to watch!

It used to be thought that playing tug encouraged the dog to pit itself against you Now, tug is recommended by the top behaviourists, rescue organization and groups all over the world. Tug offers an outlet for the dogs need (or enjoyment) to mouth and bite, teaches your dog how to release an object, teaches your dog how to go from excited to relaxed (on/off swtich game) and more.
