  • I was riding for 3 years v-strom, since 2 years versys - versys is lighter, more powerful, bigger fun. I would go for versys without any doubts

  • I suggest test riding both on the highway before buying. The Versys is fun but more comparable to SV650. Versys on the highway is very buzzy. The VStrom is a very smooth bike on the freeway/highway and one could easily tell it was meant for cruising..or City streets, highway, freeway, fire road, trails, rocky roads, beaches, etc...it's all good.

    Versys = Short trip fun

    VStrom = Long distance Comfort

    The VStrom holds it value and is hard to find on the used market. Especially the ABS models

  • i rode a Vstrom 650 on a tour through the Alps in Southern Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Lichtenstein, and Italy WITH my girlfriend on the back. The bike handled great going up and down Timmelsjoch. I was so pleased with it during the tour, I bought a Vstrom 1000 when I came back to the States.

  • Versys is WAY better!

  • @MrPaczanga

    more powerful? Much more? Really? Are You shure? You tell us bullshit.

  • Quick English translation - That one customer who tested both bikes said: V-Strom is great, better for touring, all around fun. Versys is even better in the twisties, more sporty than the V-Strom, but with a harsher gearbox and less wind protection. V-Strom has a 19" front wheel, Versys 17".

    That's all. I have a Versys, love the bike, it's flawless. V-Strom IMO looks better though, even after the facelift (I have a 2011).

  • que?

  • "fau-schtôôôm" :-)

  • I'm considering these two bikes and hoped someone did a comparison like this, to bad I only know english because I would love to understand what was said.

  • Any chance to heve English legends in this video? :-)

    Very nice to hear "V-Strom" in Germany :-))

    Hugs from Brazil,
