the program dns v9 is awesome, but the company nuance FUCKING SUCKS!

as far as support by email, youre screwed.

i bought it back in 2006...loved it. but then i tried to re install it to my pc 5 years later. no luck.

better save your serial #, without it, your disc's are useless.

after i finally found the s#, i had more problems. like forced re-activating the program, their given code didnt work. WHAT BULLSHIT!....i mean goddamn, i paid $100 for this program, now i cant even use it.

yeah but unfortunately dragon is the best speech to text out there right now :/ maybe it will improve in the future

Could anyone please tell me if they know of any text to speech programs (TTS capability, I know this is a STT video) that have no speed limit? Or at least speak way faster than most of the other available programs?

It will only recognise what it has been trained to recognise so it is not really the software's fault it is yours and for the head cold business you have to train it when you have a head cold and then it will work as I say it will only recognise what it has been trained to recognise I just thought that might be help for TO YOU thanks

I can't believe you actually thought this program would actually spell out your son's and daughter's name and also properly spell the name of your suburb. As for the head cold scenario....DUH! Voice recognition only listens to what it's been trained to listen for. You really expect it to be like "oh...it sounds like he has a head cold...I better listen a lot more carefully now." People seriously expect too much from technology. Everything has its limitation.

It did not make a mistake at all.......it just wrote exactly what you said.....If you want to train it with a head cold then it will always understand you. I think your assessment was unfair and you think the software is a mind reader also and should know what you meant to say.

I'm finding that the speech recognition seems to work pretty well most of the time.I'm currently using this programme at this comment.

as you can see there are still many bugs, but these will get better in time :-) and a bit more training.
