  • Do Christians believe the Virgin Mary was born of a virgin? I know some of them believe Mary was for ever a virgin despite having several children and I know of the doctrine of the immaculate conception (of Mary) but was that birth also of a virgin? If so how far back does this parthenogenesis go? Why not go the whole kosher hog and say Jews never fucked?

  • Slip of the tongue on Dawkins' part I believe.

  • @ctw005 Catholics believe

1] Mary was conceived by "immaculate conception" she was 100% human but did not inherit Original Sin.

2] She is was and remains a virgin

3] She had Jesus without having sex and she also bore James and his other brothers and sisters whose names we didn't need to be told

    4] See point 2

5] The wages of sin are death. Only sin causes death.

6] Because of 1 and 6 Mary must have been drawn up to heaven without dying.

    7] Never forget point 2

    8] Doubt this and burn

  • @OneApostate JudeoChristian backbone, Pilgrims came in da name of King George 2 spread the goodnews of Christ 2 da natives, another compact similar followed, All 13 colonies had compacts&constitutions claiming God, Be4 all congress, senate meetins, etc they dedicated 30mins of prayer, 2day athiests r denied certain postions in governments. From USA founding until after ww2, army always held prayer services, da first 128or126 colleges were dedicated to spreading da gosepel while 3 werent.

  • @jermainekg6 Catholics have been making shit up for years. The immaculate conception (of Mary, being born without original sin) and her assumption into heaven (if she was born without sin she could not die as the wages of sin is death, as she's not around she must have gone to heaven) is all Catholic fabrication and officially true. Catholics just make shit up, Protestants believe transparent myth to be history. The whole of Christian mythology is an insult to our intelligence.

  • @OneApostate American was founded and established by the Pilgrims who in the Mayflower compact, came to the new world in the name of King George to spread the good news of Christ to the natives, followed by another compact similar, all 13 colonies had constitutions & compacts deticated to God, Before all meeting of senate, congress, etc they spent 30mins in prayer, Washington & his army had prayer service be4 everybattle, 2 day nearly all states prevent atheist from certain positons.

  • Lol dawkins is fool, he doesnt believe in unicorns, today unicorns are mythical horselike animal mixed with some others, a 200 year old dictonary states unicorn is a 1horned rhino, old bible 400years & use rhino and unicorn interchangeably, also scientific name for rhino 2day is rhinoceros unicornis. lol atheist 2day use a modern definition & imply it 2 a 400year & older word. Why he keep sayin mary born of a virgin, hes a fool & uses his lack of biblical understanding as a argument against God.

  • @MartinJWillett Mary was a virgin when she gave birth to Yeshua, then her & her husband had Yeshua's brothers and sisters together. The whole virgin mary thing 2day is honoring the virgin birth of Yeshua, No offense but Dawkins is an idiot and doesn not understand a single thing in the bible, Mary born of a virgin is unscriptural and to believe that shows how foolish he is & is 1 more example of athiest tryin tell people wut we believe. "Seeming to be wise, they were in fact foolish"- Rom 1:22

  • @MartinJWillett They don't, but the idea that Mary was also born of a virgin is a misconception stemming from the doctrine of Immaculate Conception. The doctrine states that Mary herself was preserved from original sin, that she was born without a sin nature, and that she lived a sinless life. It doesn't say anything about her own birth though.

  • @automaticSOM obviously
