Sahrawi students, as well as Moroccans of the group Nahj Democratic, demonstrated at the University of Marrakech in medio-May 2008. The police stormed the campus, and shot teargas into the campus area.

Many were injured and detained. Most seriously injured was the 23 year old student Elwali Alkadimi who was thrown out of a 4th floor window. Read more on
