the differenc b/w Bangalore and other Indian cities is that to come and work in bangalore one needs to be educated-unlike in Mumbai where every other goonda and come and live. SO in this way it has a potential to become a relatively cleaner and safer place to live..

unlike bangalore, mumbai did not accept the ground reality that growth brings immigrants and hence did not develop infrastructure for anyone and endedup with huge slums. Why delhi, chennai and bangalore have much smaller and diminishing slums ??

the truth is that India is over crowed and wealth is concentrated in major cities. I am in chandigarh and every time i take a share auto i am crammed with atleast ten people who are non punjabi's, do yu see me complaining. they are all Indians, all of them so all i can say is show some compassion and hope for tomorrow cauz i am sure it will be bright.

@vedabang: i agree with u..i m a resident of mumbai..i have seen the govt spend crores on infrastructure here..but its all spoilt by hooligans,most of them migrants from backward northern states like UP, bihar..etc...they are like parasites who survive on the mumbais hardworking taxpayers money..they earn their livin by pick pocketting , petty thefts etc...iUP bihar etc shud be declared as hostile states...they are a bloody pain in the ass.
