  • @spadge321 Yay, my first bit of hate mail on here ^_^

firstly i should point out that i'm not the kind of person who gets jealous of old guys who write plays.

secondly i'm a student studying Berkoff in college, i'm not some drunk english teacher who writes crappy novels like you seem to think i am.

thirdly, calm down man, i'm not saying i absolutley hate the man!

Besides, people are entitled to their opinions, You've just reduced yourself to slightly above the level of a Twi-hard, congrats.

  • how can you enjoy yourself too much, you knob, - the old guard don't like Berkoff because he put two fingers up to you lot like Harvey Smith and he did it on his own,, and he champion's the working class,, what is your point again !! ? i think you are jealous, like like Jeff Beck looking at Jimi Hendrix pulling his bird,, get over it ,, he is awesome and a revolutionary whilst you are just an average teacher, there we are

  • Personally, i think while Berkoff's ideas can very often be total theatrical Genius, he does occasionally seem like he's enjoying himself in the play a little too much :P

He absolutley relishes every chance to put on an otherwise silly accent, move about in the most overactive manner and rub symbolism in the audience's face.

While it is good to have a play chock-full of symbolism, you should always leave it open to interpretation, with Berkoff there's hardly any room for that

  • I don't think he's a genius really... I mean I think that he has good ideas, but no more than any good director might have. And I don't think props take away from acting... they don't really add to it... it's just how you act wih what your given, the text, the characer, everything. xx

  • Hes such an arrogant dick but has amazing talent! An absolute genius though
