i don;t want to offend anyone, but i do think that many men and women do wonder about that, and might even give voice to that - i do not think that is an indication that the character is somehow homosexual or even confused. i think there must be something else that compels this couple to abide by this threatening character;s bidding - it remains an anomaly for me

@leslieright so what do you make of the scene when he and his wife are having sex and he starts talking about how he wants to know what it is like to be the "girl"? Is that normal male heterosexual thinking? Maybe I should change my opinion from him being homosexual to him being confused about just what it is that he is. He certainly isn't just heterosexual, if he wasn't curious, they never would have got involved with these people on the level they did.

@Dix994 hmm - i think that it is clear in the film he is not a homosexual - the actor may be, but not the character in the film - i think you are bringing something in from offstage - later on, i think, when walker and his wife conftont him he stays there to protect his wife.

@leslieright I think the ruppert charactor had that "gay-dar" (like radar) and that he is secretly a masochistic homosexual - his attraction to the slimy walken character is what keeps him there.

@Augustofunk - hi it's been a long time; but i suppose when they all meet, and the eerie stranger who has sort of picked them up behaves in this violent manner, i do not understand why they don't just walk out the door and avoid him thereafter- it might be that they are too nice, too mild-mannered - or is it the rupert everett character's vanity, his pleasure that someone takes such interest in him? you see, i don't understand their motives
