Jeff Broin, CEO for POET, speaks at the Growth Energy press conference held in Sioux Falls, S.D. on May 5. At the press conference, representatives of ethanol and agriculture industries called on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to increase the amount of ethanol allowed in standard autos up to 15 percent or E15. The move would create more than 2,000 jobs and generate $419 million in economic activity in South Dakota. It is my opinion, that this man is a liar and I hope that the people will wake up before the farm lobby tries to starve us all to death. Corn ethanol has been a disaster for America. It has helped rich Iowa farmers get richer and parasites in the ethanol industry skim millions of dollars of ta subsidies. These guys won't quit until ALL the food is burned up into ethanol. Creating several thousand subsidized jobs is not worth the MILLIONS that have lost their jobs due to corn ethanol.
