Its been designed for the Canon HV20, HV30 and HV40 Camcorders.

Its much like the Hoodman . . but made of paper. Hope you enjoy this. I have a feeling it might fit on a number of camcorders but may need modifications.

Good idea but if it gets wet , you will have to make another !

I keep it in the Bag with the camera and if it gets wet my concern will be for the Camera not the Hood :)

I printed off a few of these onto 80lb paper (light card stock). I have a Canon Vixia hf R100, so I wanted to be able to use the side buttons (it's not touch screen) when the hood was in place. I trimmed the back left and right sides a bit (removing tabs and a bit of the black). It works really well. Thanks.

As for the comments about it getting wet, first of all, it costs pennies to replace, and second, wouldn't you be more concerned with you camera getting wet more than a paper hood?
