  • Officially it is not the first steam train to go 100mph, that title falls to 4472 Flying Scotsman. The claim that City of Truro reaches a spead of 102.3mph is just that a claim.

    Although the claim was in 1904 and the scotsmans was in 1934, it still holds the record as it was actually measured,
