I had this very same problem happen with my Kr-r after fumbling around during some night outdoor shots and then inadvertently pressing the Live View button. The camera went bezerk and every button or knob press caused a mirror flip exactly like this. I pulled the battery, and the lens and got it to RESET, but it eventually started doing it again during some other shoots. I sent the damn thing back to Newegg.com and got a FULL REFUND. If it did it once, how can you trust the damn thing.....

It's not a firmware nor voltage problem. The camera sent back to service center and got it fixed. No reason was given by Pentax however.
