November CrossFit Thrusters challenge, week 4 day 1: 205 pounds, 9 reps.
This was a mistake, I was supposed to do 195 lbs, but put 45+25+10 lbs on each side of the bar.

  • work on your front squats

  • What do you have in mind?

    I very intentionally use a shoulder press grip on the bar, because the thruster moves directly from the front squat into the press. Using a proper rack grip doesn't work for me, I've tried many times.

  • This squat is the best!

  • I was experimenting with weightlifting shoes at the time, these were nearly identical... just ugly as sin with the wrong clothes :-) They're a good quality pair of Johnston & Murphy's.
