"Sincerity Forever" PREVIEW!

Here's a 3 minute preview of Arbor Heavy's "Sincerity Forever".
Sincerity Forever will be playing at the Minneapolis Fringe Festival starting Saturday August 7th at 7:00.

SHOW DESCRIPTION:
This crude satire -inspired in part by the values voiced by the likes of Jesse Helms- will induce anger, laughter, shock, and a little awe. Bright eyed teen members of the Invisible Nation, donning trendy takes on traditional KKK attire, discuss homosexuality, religious freedom, censorship, political correctness, and "American" values. Their musing are interrupted and corrupted, however, by the arrival of two galactic furballs and a black female Jesus H. Christ.

The play prompted the National Endowment for the Arts to request Wellman remove their name from his list of thank-yous, despite Wellman receiving an NEA grant the year Sincerity was written.

And if the social agenda, satire, and crude humor aren't enough, the galactic furballs alone are worth seeing. Constructed from llama and sheep wool (raised by the director) with food wrappers, condoms, and a discarded shoe integrated into the folds, these giant furballs (6' x 6') capture the repugnance of the social commentary all on their own: they look foul, smell foul, and house two foul-mouthed actors who sum up Wellman's angst.
