The Government SHOULD Be Serving Me!!

If we are paying Taxes, should we not get what we are paying for? Should the Politicians not be doing their jobs instead of getting head from prostitutes in dirty bathrooms across the country?

I'm sick and tired of Politicians using their personal ideas on what they think is best for me. I've decided that I'm not paying for them to think for me. They all need to shape up and not be giving themselves raises.

absolutely agreed... though I don't think a whole lot is going to change by our just talking about it.

the government aside, I have to admit that I'm actually more angry at seeing my hard-earned money blown by some good-for-nothing welfare leech (can you tell I'm opinionated?) than I am the government... people who need welfare? I'm more than happy to help them out. but considering they're in a very small minority of welfare users, I think I have a right to be angry about it.

I totally agree with you. I have a friend who is a leech. Or rather, a friend of a friend. Maybe more like an acquaintance of an acquaintance because we never actually hang out, but they are always around.  It's really kind of crazy, yea? He just don't want to work at all.

I think it is very good to be opinionated. To be fair, though, I'm really starting to get sick of all these sex scandals that politicians are getting caught in. I'm not paying them to have sex.

well, again there, we aren't paying them when once they "clock out", but it's when the media ignore politicians' accomplishments and instead focus on their lives outside of politics that I have to wonder if there are any legitimate news sources in the U.S. any more...

btw, my original comment actually tied into what I have a feeling is going to make many Americans angry in the next 4yrs (i.e. Obama's using our tax dollars to send the good-for-nothings to college- I earn my money, they don't!).

Actually, I'm having a really hard time paying for college and need all the help I can get. I really hope he DOES make it easier to pay for college. But I know what you are saying, and I respect it.

President Clinton wasn't "clocked out" when he had his affair with Monica. He did it in his office. Also, they are paid on Salary, so they don't actually Clock in our out, they are always on the clock. Isn't that great? Ha ha Ha.

see, I honestly think that a move like this will give a slap in the face to people like me who have to work full/part-time just to cover tuition bills/cost of living while having to sit by and watch the government simply handing people money for all of the above... at least on the plus side the money would only be available to people who will agree to ~100-150hrs community service, but that also tells me you're probably not part of the demographic that this move has in mind.
