@kanku0 You should keep your hands up no matter what. That's the reason there are more high kick knockouts in Kyokushin Tournaments than there should be. Keeping the hands up will prevent a lot of those knockouts. Before you reply, you should know that I am a 3rd Dan in Kyokushin with over 28 years experience & I was trained by Soshu Shigeru Oyama in New York City. I started when I was 12 yrs old in 1982. The last 18 years I have been teaching also. Osu.

wow! great training! sensei kankuo, I am already 38 yo when I started training kyukoshin karate; some people say that it would difficult for me to train hard because I am not young anymore, and my bones would be easily broken:-(

I'm not even there and I can feel the intensity. Stuff like this is a good example that people shouldn't be so close-minded when it comes to karate or knockdown karate especially in MMA.

thank you all for yours commnets , but if you read the title "kyokushin training boxing bag " is for kyokushin competition not k1 , and in kyokushin competition we dont punch on the head,so .....if i train for k1 or kick boxing i keep the hands up.osu
