@brandonowen993 a lot of depressed people cut themselves, because when they feel the physical pain the mental pain disappears for a while. I don't know why so many depressed people are BvB fans, but i know that songs like Savior make depressed/sad people feel better, that song have made people stop cutting themselves, so that is probably a reason why they listen to BvB.
