Star Ocean 2 Boss Series #37- Iselia Queen

Well, here she is again, the Ethereal Queen. I made sure to fight her on the unfinished background again too. =)

Like Gabriel, the hardest part about this fight is getting your HIT stat up high enough to break through her shield. Once you do that, though, it's not too difficult to pin her into the wall, especially with four fighters. I had trouble getting my HIT up high enough without double Feet Symbols so I had to play around with Piety and different equipment along with the Ghost Dance song in order to be able to hit her reliably. Most people will most likely be using Rena, though, so she can help out with the HIT problem with Angel Feather and the like.

Equipment is very important for this fight; I would recommend Duel Suits and Sylvan Mails to prevent your characters from being turned into stone. The decrease in defense doesn't matter all that much since her attacks can kill you in one or two hits to begin with, unless you have alot of AVD. Best to leave it up to Guts.

Feet Symbols are helpful for raising HIT and a little attack boost. Finally, tri-emblems or Angel Armbands are important for decreasing the damage from her spells, which can one-shot you without protection, plus they give decent stat boosts too.

To make the fight go by faster, I used Kamikaze Tonics/Attack Vials to buff up attack which is a pretty good substitute for the Berserk Rings. With Chisato and Precis doing their thing, Ashton's fast attack with star spray, and Air Slash/Illusion spam for good measure she didn't last too long.

Also, one thing I didn't know until after I made this video, if you open up the menu/cancel for character selection while she's doing her top spin attack, she'll go back to normal after awhile. It must be like the Dreamshades' Dreampeace move. Anyway, if you've no qualms against "cheating" then that's something to consider to make the fight more bearable.


Iselia Queen drops Angel Armbands, Levantines, and Holy Sword Farwells so you can have multiple copies of both for all your ownaged needs.

Next up is the final boss with his Limiter removed...which'll be something new for me.

Lucky 1 hit KO's don't count, what likely happened was you either used the instakill spell, or Precis/Chisato had a shield equipped, there is a specific shield that causes enemies that hit you to have a chance of instant death. I've killed all the tne wise men at some point with that trick, including indelicio with his limiter off.
