A response to 'what schizophrenia is'.

If you are interested in it, I recomend you watch it for some good info.

I'm asking some questions, and I thought it might be easier to write them down in case you missed it from the video.

1. What type of schizophrenia do you have
2. What are the 'quality' of visual hallucinations and auditory ones. What makes you believe the hallucination?
3. Why are people defensive about delusions?
4. Can you tell if you are having a psychotic episode?
5. How do you think a non psychotic person would react to being told that one of their beliefs was a delusion?
6. Do you have any symptoms now?
7. The STIGMA question

This response was done a while ago, about a few days after the original one was released. I finally put it together now! And excuse me, I seem to be in a strange mood in this video.

Nasty stuff. Blocks dopamine. Pleasure chemical in the brain. It shouldn't be forced on anyone. It covers up the symptoms, it has nothing to do with the cause.

Dopamine is NOT a pleasure chemical. Actually anhedonia (reduced ability to feel pleasure) is a symptom of schizophrenia.

Mind you, antipsychotics are not for everybody and schizophrenia itself can be a nasty disease untreated.

Why would you call her that? And how the hell do you know what her sexual orientation is? You are out of line and very rude. Plus if you watch the entire video she doesn't say she's got schizophrenia, she says her mother had it.

@cmanleyspy No offense but perhaps you should lay off judging people and trying to play doctor on the internets. This video was recorded and upload 4 years ago. I started on prozac approx 5 months ago. So such drugs are not causing me to behave in the 'abnormal way' that 'any normal person' (you mean neurotypical?) can easily spot just from watching this video.

Actually, I am curious to know exactly what in this video gives away my 'issues in my head'.

@nervousneuron perhaps you should lay off of the Prozac and try to face your issues head on..no offense but I'd bet that you started off as a beautiful happy 'normal' little girl and then something, somewhere, in your childhood/coming of age had sparked these 'fears/delusions' in which you know are dependent on fluoxetine. I know I'm in no position to tell you how to live your life, but any 'normal person' who watches your video can tell that you have an issue going on in your head.
