HI
Thought I'd make one of my hank drums the same
pitch and scale as my PantheonSteel Halo --
C ("ding") / F, G#, B-flat, C, E-flat, F, G ("minor
pentatonic 9" scale). I quite like the results.
Being pitched a tone lower than my other hanks,
fewer "small-size" tongues had to be used for
the higher notes, and this helps make the whole
thing sound better. This instrument is made from
a new, stock 20 pound propane tank. Information
on building this instrumentis is at this URL:
http://www.DennisHavlena.com/halohank.htm
PS: Laptops make these instruments sound
terrible -- try to listen to this on a desktop
system instead.
