Sunbeam transmission 5

The road tests are begun. The idle is fixed, now the timing is in work. The stock specks do not seem to work with the marks on the harmonic balancer. So it is a trial and error approach I am attempting. If I eventually supercharge this engine I will have to readjust the timing again.

I love that car. Glad to see you got it going. Also enjoyed seeing the GoPro shots. I've been thinking about getting me one and watching your vid helped me decide.. Big improvement after you changed the timing..

Thanks. I think you would really get alot of use out of the GoPro camera on your rat rod. I will repost my vid "Sundaze Drive" with effects and scenes using the GoPro and a hand held Sony HD Handycam. Youtube muted my previous film because of the music I "borrowed" I need to find a source of royalty free music.

great vid.. I've been looking forward to it tranny seems to be working great.. whats that clatter sound when you were idling up the driveway and each time immediately after you shift? saw an interesting looking car back by the travel trailer.. have you video'd that? dont recall seeiing it before.. but I'd like to! thanks for posting

Its the camera banging against the case of the mounting unit. The clear shots are done with it [Gopro HD cam]. The case does not seem to be engineered very well. The old car is my first car. 1948 Plymouth Special Deluxe club coupe. I think I only have one vid of it. I need to film it and the 1959 Dodge truck in its current state.

Yea, the GoPro's been something I've been looking at a lot. I've literally ruined two cameras shooting from the car and without fenders, rocks fly,.. damaged lenses. I figure the GoPro has that lens protector + the wide angle looks cool....
