The L23's at my club have two piece canopies as well.
But if you read the pilot's operating handbook, it shows that later models have a one piece canopy.

I Like The L23 Better, Just BEcause Of The T-Tail But That Is Just Me

Well this one does too if you count the little "flap" of a canopy in the rear seat. But yeah, the L13 has a standard tail that folds, flaps, and the wingtips are a bit different. I like the L13 a little more, but both are great airplanes.

Yeah thats the 23, but when did Blanik do the one piece canopy? I was never crazy about the 2 piece canopy, perhaps an older version of L23. I certainly miss the hell outta flying it along with flying at Seminole Lake, Great People there too!!

See thats funny, I've flown both the 23 and the 13, both with one piece canopy's, and I could have sworn I've only seen them with two piece canopy's. I was trained and soloed in a 2-33 and I definitely liked the Blaniks better. They seemed more like a real glider and not a big old lumbering stork. I still love them both, but I really want to build more time in the Blanik.

Also, the L-23 has a forward swept wing, cant remember if the 13 had that feature too. You can see it in the vid. :)

Yep, both Blaniks had forward swept wings.
