It snowed in Garland (Texas) last night, early this morning! Weeee!

Living in the North Texas area, we SOMETIMES have snow and this snowfall is pretty nice!

I think it's at most 6 inches...but, I didn't measure it.

The girls and I played out in it but were aware after investigating, that there is ice lurking underneath all the pretty snow!

Yesterday, we had ice, therefore, we now have snow covered ice. lol
Watching all the cars driving by the house makes me thankful I'm at home enjoying the warmth. I really don't want to get on the roads; I probably won't.

The girls have had 4 days of cancelled school! That's a record for Garland ISD; we've seldom even had two days in a row, much less 4 days in a row; but, it's for safety and practicality...half of the kids would have stayed home, the others including faculty would have been at risk driving on the roads.

hey i recorded us driving on george bush turnpike around 1am this morning...it was more like ice last night..but when we got home in irving it was soft and it still is all week here in dfw area...have fun

I'm in Chicago. I'd share my pics, but I imagine the rest of the nation has already seen the amount of snow we had the other day. You guys just got a coating comapred to us. (Btw-I didn't know you guys got that much snow down south!)

@nikkipuddin Hey there! Yeah, we seldom have snow and when we do we freak out! lol We're used to the heat, but, when it comes to snow, we just freeze up. lol

I think we have only 4 or 5 inches which is like a comparison to dusting the furniture compared to what you all get! lol :) Don't you get feet of snow? I can't imagine how we'd handle that! lol

You ought to see us running to the grocery store buying gallons of milk, eggs and bread when we hear of a cold front. :)haha
