Join critically-acclaimed author and evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins and world-renowned theoretical physicist and author Lawrence Krauss as they discuss biology, cosmology, religion, and a host of other topics.

The authors will also discuss their new books. Dawkins recently published The Magic of Reality: How We Know What's Really True, an exploration of the magic of discovery embodied in the practice of science. Written for all age groups, the book moves forward from historical examples of supernatural explanations of natural phenomena to focus on the actual science behind how the world works.

Krauss's latest book, A Universe from Nothing: Why There is Something Rather than Nothing, explains the scientific advances that provide insight into how the universe formed. Krauss tackles the age-old assumption that something cannot arise from nothing by arguing that not only can something arise from nothing, but something will always arise from nothing.

Founded in 2008, the ASU Origins Project is a university-wide transdisciplinary initiative aimed at facilitating cutting edge research and inquiry about origins questions, enhancing public science literacy, and improving science education. Since its inception, the Origins Project has brought the world's leading scientists, including Nobel Prize winners, to Tempe to explore origins questions. The Origins Project has hosted workshops and public events that have focused on questions as fundamental as the origin of the universe, how life began, the origins of human uniqueness, and the origins of morality.

No, all you are saying that since you don't understand something it must be God. That is the thought process of cavemen!

And how do you relate this to "Your God" coming to earth and giving birth to himself?

Theists hold up Communism and Nazism, along with the regime of the Pol Pot, as evidence of murderous "atheist" tyrannies that have caused the deaths of tens of millions. While it may be true that Communism portrayed itself as "godless," it did not wage war in the name of atheism, nor were its founders and leaders raised as atheists.

Stalin was in the Preisthood, and returned to God in 1941, Mao ideas, while rooted in dialectical materialism, contain elements of Confucianism and Taoism.

I don`t think Infinity can go backwards, practically. Because it ( something, rather than nothing ) would breach the 2nd law of Thermodynamics. Ergo, today there would be nothing but chaos. What I`m saying is this : If there has always been "something" then this "something" must be subject to the laws of Thermodynamics. Ergo, entropy would have rendered something flat an infinitely long time ago.

Huum ! Show me good without evil. Show me God without Satan. They are mutually arising. God without Satan is as meaningless as a +ve pole of a battery without the -ve. This poses very serious problems vis a vis Theology. Most Theology ( and particularly Judeo-Christian-Islamic Theology ) purports a Good God, and that God preceedes Satan. East gives rise to West. Take away one, and one takes away the other.

They only deny Science, until death is knocking. If we equate the fear of death with a lack of belief, Christians would be the weakest of all religions. Islam's god is so great they can also justify anything it it's name. Go figure, but denialists are all the same. They live in a world they Choose, and not one that we coexist in. This was the arguement of subjective reality, and likely why Eugenics became so popular in the early 20th century.

If you get to redefine what a Christian is when you don't like the out come then the rest of the world can dismiss you claims that atheism caused fascist dictators of the 20th century, then all we are left with is the past 1000 years of Religion suppressing science and keeping us in the dark ages after the fall of Rome, great job man! Pray for healing when you get sick don't take medicine, does us all a favor.

By who's standards? Your? Pathetic. The audacity of religious morons willing to ignore the massive harm and destruction that have been done in the name of religion and willingly becoming serfs to the church.

What the fuck is this garbage; I just refuted your challenge and you blissfully stayed ignorant to the evidence. Amazing.
