What a ridiculous ritual. It's easy to see why people who claim to be religious nowadays would rather forget the mumbo-jumbo associated with their fable's original practises.

What about the unfaithful man? How does the torah address this?

@forestcats Good question! The Torah doesn't have an exact duplicate of the case for men, which people might understandably find disturbing. Generally an unfaithful man's repentance comes by being mandated to care for the woman, or to take her on as an additional wife (in Torah times, men could marry more than 1 woman).

@forestcats (Continuing) keep in mind, Biblical marriage was a different concept than we hold today-it meant he had to house her, feed her, and protect her. It's not equal, but it's the Torah's way of making sure everyone is protected.
