@mrdoonbeg Both Photoshop and Illustrator cost a lot of money. So GIMP is logical choice if you want something free.

Great tutorial - but what if you didn't want to draw an image from scratch? What if you wanted to past an existing image - like a photo you took - and then pull out the colors and still make it transparent so that it could be an Tab-Bar Icon?

Hi, could you just use photoshop or illustrator to create image? It's just a small png file. Also what age are you. Your'e pretty good on the MAc for a young guy. Best of luck
