European Training Foundation (ETF) presented the results of its study on women's chances in education and labour market in southern Mediterranean region.
Women fare better and better in education but their school performance doesn't translate into success in the labour market. Why? And what can be done about it?
An ETF study tried to answer these questions. On 10 December, the study was presented in Rome, at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which financed the project.
Outi Kärkkäinen, ETF expert and author of the study; Tziona Koenig-Yair, Israel's National Commissioner for Equal Employment Opportunities; and Fatiha Benchouba of Algerian Confederation of Employers, talk about women and work, state of play, challenges, recommendations.
