Mr.L: Note to Tea Party--Beware of the Obama DNC BoobieTrap

Why I and two popular conservative writers believe Obama and the DNC is setting up a trap for conservatives, republicans and the Tea Party via the debt ceiling and debt talks. We're in the home stretch. 2012 shouldn't be about running against republicans. It should be about ousting Obama and that's it!

Mr. L., this is worse than an Obama booby trap, this is deception. It is also the purest form of mental abuse against the American people I have ever witnessed. The threats coming from this administration are unethical and cruel. Now is not the time to surrender. We must support our newly elected leaders and praise them for standing strong and trying to do the job we elected them to do. America is on financial life support and we must control the debt and spending - now!

@Tigress900 yeah it's important to keep our eye on the prize. Obama's made a situation worse & I defy anyone to tell me different. he's got to go.dont understand why we give any credence to the criminals at the credit agencies & orgs like Moodys when these people partly got us into this place to begin with. but its what they say that will effect global markets so it's tolerated. Obama can be impeached for fast & furious alone. sadly it would be quicker if we vote him out in a year.

The way I see it, the Republicans have offered up plans to deal with the situation, and their efforts have been met with scorn and ridicule by the left. Now I believe their best move is to do nothing. Let the arbitrary debt ceiling deadline come and go, and the ball will be in Obama's court. There will be no default unless Obama chooses to not pay the interest on our debt. S.S. and military pay will go out as usual unless he chooses to stop them from going out.

Another benefit of doing nothing is that it forces the government to live within its means for as long as Obama remains stubborn and refuses to cut a deal with the Republicans. If he chooses to say no to all of the GOP's previous proposals, then the government will be forced to run as a bare-bones operation. Essentially, Obama's own obstinance will bring about a balanced budget by default, and the credit ratings houses will see that his plans for further debt increases are a thing of the past.

All of these things are entirely within Obama's discretion to either fund or not fund. The left will scream bloody murder that the GOP is causing thousands of federal workers to lose a month's pay, but few in the private sector will feel much sympathy for them, since private sector employees have been suffering for years from the recession. Moreover, the left will be exposed for the liars they are once people realize that their claims of imminent disaster were completely bogus.
