Jorge Alvarez aka Kurious is of Puerto Rican and Cuban descent, and grew up in Spanish Harlem. He debuted in 1991 on Powerule's "Young Stars from Nowhere". He then appeared on Pete Nice and DJ Daddy Rich's album Dust to Dust. The duo helped Kurious get a record deal with Columbia Records via Bobbito and Pete Nice's Hoppoh imprint. In 1992, he released his first single, "Walk Like a Duck". In 1994, Kurious released his debut album A Constipated Monkey, which featured the hit singles "I'm Kurious" and "Uptown Shit".

In 1999, he reemerged on MF DOOM's album Operation: Doomsday on the track "?" and contributed a track to a Monsta Island Czars Mixtape, under the alias Biollante.

Amalgam Digital reissued A Constipated Monkey with bonus tracks in 2007.

In 2009 Kurious released "II" his long awaited Sophomore LP available here: http://www.amalgamdigital.com/albums/details/744

  • 90s where the FUCKIN BEST!!!!!!

  • @xReturnOfTheDeadx He didn't dumb ass just because the song came out first doesn't mean he stole it, he would have gotten sued if he did? Common sense. Lots of songs have the same sample doesn't mean they stole it. Lord Finesse - Game Plan and Lupe Fiasco - Paris Tokyo same sample doesn't mean he stole it because Game Plan came first. O.C. - Born 2 Live and Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth - Take You There same sample doesn't mean they stole it. The producer just sampled the same song indirectly.

  • @rickylascaze001 ok then he borrowed it, or he used it under permission... or I should write "stole" (with qoutation marks)...are you happy now? Yes? Good. But the fact is, that Paris used this sample first and this guy here copied it.

And what I got to "learn" about music now?

  • @xReturnOfTheDeadx He didn't steal it, the producer used the same sample. Learn music before you accuse some one of stealing something.
