Den Hegarty had to leave for health reasons or so it was reported at the time, the comic dynamic of the group was lost & they were never the same really. Still one great year in 1978, better that than going on for tedious ad naseum like U2 or (Take What!!!). Den Hegarty reemerged in Tiswas, the zany Saturday kids show of the early 80s.

Yep, Hegarty had left by this time. I've got two Darts hits albums mostly just to get their amazing version of "Young Blood," they were amazing outfit, right in the middle of the punk era with this these high voltage versions of rock 'n' roll/r&b hits plus a few gems of their own..I agree with all the dross repeated over and over on T.V. why they don't dredge up some more of these classic clips, even though the vocals are out of sync!

But this was only a remake from the fifties.
We've been listening to the same grooves for the past 60 years now; that's why I have now got into world music; just love those african grooves and the music of The Tuvan Republic is awesome.

It pisses me of when i see clips like this just how good UK Gold was years ago now its Fools and Horses 24/7.I always remember Darts for a comical character called Den Heggarty i think but he doesn't seem to be in this clip.
