@jetbus Well alienware is dells brand but this is like the named version of it so its bout equal to the alienware m17x with a few performance tweaks then it would be equal to the m18x.

I went to a garage sale and the person wanted $99.99 for this along with a charger. I was able to play with it for a bit. Nice laptop it seems like. I asked the person to hold it (and they said yes) so I'll go buy it soon cause I really like it. And if I dont want to use it, i can just resell with no problem/

mines got a nvidia geforce go 8400m 3gb ram 250 hardrive and 2000mhz could i playblack ops fifa and assains creed

@bwonedotcom It would run GTA SA pretty well but it would struggle a little with GTA IV the processor is ok to hit mins but the graphics card may cause a few problems as it is only 256MB.

i bought this laptop and about 8 months after when ever i played games on it or ran a programe it would get very hot and somtimes shut down because of the heat. does anyone kno why this is?

@StarryMalaka Your fans may not be working properly and may need to be replaced. But first try to blow dust out of the fans by getting a can of compressed air and pushing the dust out. This is usually the cause of overheating on laptops. If not then you will want to contact dell to get the fans replaced.

@japorms318 depends on the specs you initially get. I wouldn't focus on that rating much as its based on "your as good as your weakest link" meaning the lowest score you get in one of the categories is your main score which doesn't make much sense and isn't accurate. Its one of the reason software developer haven't adopted the ratings when they put the specs up for their games and programs.
