....this man knew his business very well and was way ahead of the game. Wonder what the world of music would be if he was still around.

@africanmusicforum -- OOps! I see a singer who looks like him at 00:40

@kindu2006 -- Maybe my eyes are bad, but I do not see Sam Mangwana in this video?

I don't think Mangwana is on this video, the sensous voice is Malage De Lugendo's, then the youngest singer with tp ok jazz . Rahndi could you please tell me where is can donload or buy a bunch of this misic, i would like to have a whole i-pod load of it.

Kindu...
Methinks it is a matter of preferences....to me ''La Pigeon Voyageur'' comes third after Youlou, Josky, him, Djo Mpoyi, Madilu etc Nway they were all good, name them lugendo, wuta mayi, Ya ntesa, Ndombe......i totally concur with rahndi that they would ''up their act'' when featuring for TPOK... God bless them

He said Utrecht Oye! since the concert was in Utrecht Holland
oh, i love this song - especially the beginning. Mangwana's voice is sensous, and defies description. For me Mangwana is the greatest singer Congo ever produced. Although I do reveer Tabu ley and Madilu's voice. Thank you so much for posting this video. do u know where i can get THE DVD???? that is if you live in London.

You likely have access to more Franco content than I do in the U.S.A. I love Mangwana but really marvel at Youlou Mabiala's voice. Madilu, great with OK Jazz but on his own, very disappointing, forgettable and trendy. Funny, but I never liked Tabu Ley. I have several of his CD's but I never play them. He did his best vocals and writing on the two CD's he did with Franco. He and everyone else seemed to raise their "game" when they were with Franco. Franco was uncompromising and they knew it.
