If it was transmitted on a Monday afternoon in March 1986, I know that the final Monday of that month was the Easter Bank Holiday and I doubt it was seen on that date, so it could have been the 3rd, 10th, 17th or 24th.
I used to love the regional variations of the post-News at One afternoon films on 1980s ITV. Channel 4's afternoon schedule is the closest you have to afternoon films these days unless you watch the satelitte and digital channels.
@lewie80 I have had a look on a newspaper archive, which shows that Tyne Tees definately transmitted The Picture of Dorian Gray at 1.30 pm on Monday 24th March 1986.

@GeorgeASFTHM Well I've suspected for ages that it was shown on Monday 17 March 1986, the 10th seems too early and the 24th seems too late.
