I did fly the Mig for about 10 mins but I had a Russian test pilot with me. No idea about how long you need to train for this but the pilot I had with me could fly pretty much anything and was an amazing guy. During my flight I blacked out few times because of the G force we were pulling, the pilto with me was steady as a rock!

The whole flight was about an hour from take off to touch down. About 40 mins of that was flying up and coming down and the rest of the time doing aerobatics. Used about 3000 litres of fuel, reached mac 2 and altitude was about 70k feet (13 miles up).

the avro arrow (canadian jet) was the first ever to do this 40 years ago. so that makes this pretty much obsolete.

If I ever win the lottery, this is one of the first things on my list. Looks like a fantastic experience!

Pimp my plane
See how better a woman does with a similar experience-ie in the back seat-on a clip I refer to-supra!. At least she doesn't shake her head in disbelief /wonder...or clap like a trained seal afterwards.

@liebewitz1 do you realise how long it takes to train as a seal? :-p

Was it worth the $40,000 they charged you, or did you get the discount ride?

@fall0rn Yes. I got to fly it for about 10 mins and flew it back to the base. It was an amazingly powerful aircraft and very responsive.
