@goofboy413 master chief jumped out of a ship in space and planted a bomb inside an enemy ship he also survived the explosion of two halo rings and killed the flood... seriously gordan couldn't stop the flood master chiefs energy shields protect him from infection but gordan doesn't have that! so 1 of them attacking him once would kill him

My opinion on both:
Master Cheif: much stronger
Gordon Freeman: Much more badass
-
@sparkie1j dude, if he can survive the alien and marine infested Black Mesa, he can most definitively survive the flood
-
I personally like Gordon better. Cheif is also cool but he was trained and biologically engineered to fight, while gordon was just a physicist but still managed to survive and annihilate 2 threats, both of which were just as or even more powerful than the covenant. Plus, cheif had an entire army on his side and defeated the covenant, while gordon lead only a small resistance, and defeated the combine. One more thing, Cheif's trademark weapon is an assault rifle, Gordon's is a CROWBAR

@jimcoolfilms The main reason it was actually built was because it had biofoam injectors which made medi-packs useless. He can heal himself very fast now. IT also improves the link between the Spartan and the AI, making him slightly faster and stronger than before but that's mostly it.
We know the MK VII exists as of 2553, but we don't know it's capabilities except it has a more powerful plasma drive and it can exit slipspace without a HEV pod and it can enter atmosphere safely.

@jimcoolfilms He's always 2 meters 8 centimeters high and the armor always makes him 10 centimeters higher. Also Nywund is the only one who wrote about him. We can just for example use the first book. Even though he wears outdated mk IV armor and then the newer(but still outdated) MK V armor. The MK VI is much better but even with the IV or V, he could defeat Gordon. We don't have any books of him with the Mk VI, we only have some numbers of how it's slightly better than the V.

@SPARTAIN088 well yes but since who ever is writting the books will change MC chracter like for example he could be short in one book but taller in a diffrent book! it really depends who is writting the book.
-
@jimcoolfilms The books and comics are always the best source of information, because the authors don't have to think about game mechanics and "will the game be playable". They would try to make an epic book. And the main series is written by Eric Nywund(Fall of reach, The Flood, First strike, Ghosts of Onyx) and they have the most action. The other action novel is The Cole Protocol. Primordium and Cryptum are about the forerunners and Glasslands is after the war, so we use Nywund.

@SPARTAIN088 in the halo books changes depending who is writting the books isn't arnt a good source of information about MC.

@sparkie1j a strider would blow a hunter to peaces and vortigrunts would kill flood in split secounds.
Cortana: "Chief! People on the internet are talking about a fight between you and Freeman!
Master Chief: Bring him up on my Interdemensional Helmet-Phone... Gordon! It's MC! You'll never guess what people have been saying about us!
Gordon: "..."
MC: Exactly! Pointless, I say. You wanna get a beer later?
Gordon: "..."
MC: Ok, talk to you later. *Click* I hate talking over the phone with him, he's as bad as... *Ring*
MC: Hello?
Chell: "..."
MC: Damn it.
Cortana: Chell? Say hi to GLaDOS for me!

@RATPT0I The combine were accidentally released by order of the G-man if I recall correctly. I've played the first game a very long time ago and Gordon by game mechanics Gordon is about as good as MC.
BUT by the books - he stands no chance. He's the better protagonist of course, he's probably the best in all of gaming but he stands no chance against the Chief.
And judging by the games the combine is strong but the covenant can field far better units and planet-destroyer weaponry.
