outnout1 I really believe in Obama. I think that a disaster like the Deepwater Horizon underlines what a bad idea allowing the oil companies regulate themselves is. I believe this is a situation that the right would stand blindly behind, similar to denial of global warming, evolution denial and the like, where, I think, the Democrats would weigh and re-evauate/implement regulations. - A Canadian hopeful of a strong USA.

but could it be... TOO SAFE?????

I wish the news would jump all over this stupid ass economic policy of McCaine's. Oil is gonna pollute the damn environment and with hurricanes destroying the rigs its gonna be a mess and we'll spend more money fixing the damn rigs. Oil is gonna run out this is just a short term fix for a long term problem.

LIAR!
"The oil pollution in the wake of Hurricane Katrina could be among the worst recorded in North America, officials trying to coordinate the clean-up say. The US coastguard, which is responsible for the marine environment, said yesterday more than 6.5 million gallons of crude oil had been spilt in at least seven major incidents. The previous worst spill in US waters was the 11m gallons in Alaskan waters from the Exxon Valdez in 1989."

This is the tactic of just spewing a well known lie until people believe it because they've heard it from so many so-called reliable sources. It makes perfect sense that McSenile is telling this lie, Rove is one of his main advisors and writes full scripts of lies, this reeks of Rove because it is ALL false.
Obama had a different position before the election. But changed his mind, and just before the BP disaster, supported offshore drilling with a passion. Both parties are in the pockets of corporate America. It's a shell game, and there's no pebble under either shell. That's the way those who are really in charge want it. They pit one side against another, make you choose sides like a sporting event, and then have you feel like you actually won something. No one wins in a two party system.
