  • Ah, what the radio announcer failed to say was that he started his internet station because he was forced off the air by CBS, but only after he won an age discrimination suit. Part of the agreement in the suit was that he would voluntarily step down from the air in three years, although CBS never let him tell his audience he was leaving, and so they woke up one morning without Hy Lit on the air and no explanation. Oh, executives.... don't you want to wring their necks?

  • Looking up at the old clock-a-roonie on the wall, it looks like it's time for Hyski to split the scene and leave it clean. I want to thank you for giving this position so much of your time. Let's say we do this again, say, tomorrow night, 6 - 10 in the PM. But in the meantime, in-between time, this is Hy Lit saying keep a cool paw. Live, love, laugh and be happy. Maintain your cool and be nobody's fool. Ya dig? Solid Ted, enough said. Stay tune for Frank X Feller on the flip side of news

  • @karinablacktie - You are right. I remember they kept cutting down his hours and then suddenly he was gone. IMO, that station now is so "slick" and plays mostly '70s songs. BORING. They had a treasure in Hy Lit but I guess they thought their audience was too "young and hip" to appreciate him.

    RIP Hyski!
