  • For all those who believe that homosexuality is a "choice", let me ask you...when did YOU "decide" to be heterosexual? That's right, when did you consciously decide to be straight?

The answer is, you didn't, any more than gay people "choose" to be gay. So stop already with this nonsense about how it's a "lifestyle choice".

  • You'll notice the man in the blue shirt to the right of the stage in the front row, from the other video's and a question he asked Hitchens, I can see he's one of these arrogant air heads who thinks he's always right, even when he knows he's wrong. He doesn't clap or smile or laugh at anything Hitchens says which I find completely absurd, Hitchens' is funny regardless if you agree with his views or not, at least I think so. Some people are just miserable all their lives, and his god made him so.

  • Glad to see Hitch is still infuriating to believers post-mortem. Your high blood pressure is his testament.

  • A bloated lush's ego, a way with words and a British accent and you might have a career as an intellectual hack in America.

  • @chordstruck Hitch has helped so many people break the chains of slavery. Damn straight he had purpose.

  • @zxcvbnm103 Why do you suggest that he had no purpose? Aside from the pleasures he took himself, he has inspired and liberated countless others, irreligious and otherwise. He changed my entire life - he helped me cast off the fear and become more moral, find more happiness and live with greater dignity. Can you hold a candle to that?

  • For everyone arguing that homosexuality is a sin.

    1. You must prove to me that god exists

    2. You must prove that he cares if you're gay enough to punish you for it

    3. You must prove to me how that isn't completely fucked in the head considering he's the one who made them and asking them to deny their sexuality is unessisary, and therefor cruel, and unworthy of praise

  • Hitchens: "I really have no purpose in life. Which, if I admit I would look very stupid. Therefore let me say a corny joke or two so these dimwits forget the question."

    Good answer Hitch.

  • @nextgenvids If we were able to adapt to the universe, then it follows that the universe is accommodated for life to form.

  • @mikefromwa "genes...culled out long ago."

    Genes not yet identified

    "Some people do."

But you stated it's NOT a decision. Stay consistent

    "obvious that you're mistaken"

If I am mistaken, then I trust science will provide conclusive proof. Until then it remains what it has always been, mere conjecture

Let me help you. It's entirely possible for homosexuality to be developed environmentally and naturally after the point of birth. There's far more evidence of that than anything genetic.

  • @objectivechristian: "There is no apparent benefit for homosexuality."

Keyword, "apparent". If there was no benefit then the genes would have been culled out long ago.

"I don't think anyone ever truly decides "I think I'd like a penis up my butt". "

Some people do. Just because you can't imagine such a thing doesn't mean it doesn't happen. But that's NOT the same thing as being gay.

"However I don't think anyone is born gay either. "

It's pretty obvious that you're mistaken.
