  • Great ! PS - I took a few Yukons out of the fridge and soaked them over night in water - Not sure if that's the way to do it can you elaborate. PS. I've been looking for Land in Rural NC - any suggestions? Looking for 1.5 to 3 acres. My email is my name @gmail if you care to write directly. Let me know about the proper way to create the Potato seeds. I'm going to use 5 Gallon Buckets . Can we start Potato's now or is it too late in the Season?

  • @spiritartman I think I bought potato seeds....the ones in the store have growth prohibitor on them so they don't sprout out....so buy the potato seeds in the bag.....they do way better...anywhere in NC is the best place to live these days...like the foothills is the best for sure to me...or Asheville...its way to late for potatoes....start them in 4 months...they do better here in the cold.....what part of the country are you at currently?

  • You're awesome!!! Did you use "certified seed Potato" or one from the market?

  • @spiritartman oh I just cut up some potatoes and got them the old way. Thanks for the comment!

  • You are a cutie pie!

  • Been in CA for a long time now back in NY on Long Island. I'm planning to move down to rural NC. How are property taxes say for a modest 2 bedroom Farmette mini farm house with say 1.5 acres? I need a point person down there. I have friends in Missouri but the Tornado's scare the heck out of me. Would you suggest your area? I wouldn't mind being about 40 minutes outside Charlotte (Just for work purposes) Any way you can email me? are you on Face Book? Thanks!

  • You're awesome!!!

  • @wackyrice1 I drilled 1/4 inch holes in the bottom. lots of them. I dump them when the plant dies then the potatos are ready.

I just use more compost after that.

  • do you drill drain holes in the bottom? when you dump them, how do you save the your soil?
