@manoferie Even if it didn't sound right, I always wondered what a dual chime steam whistle would sound like.

Talk about some interesting sounding whitsles! Man 142 was really moving! Great Video!
Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent camera work! I was the engineer on the trip, and it's great to have a memento of a great day on the railroad.
Here are the whistles heard during the video:
1:02 Erie 5 chime (only 2 chambers sounding - needs TLC)
1:30 replica RDG passenger 6 chime (2 or 3 sequences)
3:05 replica Colorado and Southern 5 chime (as heard on C&S 2-8-2 #807)
4:30 to end: Illinois Central long bell 3 chime steamboat - one of my favs.
thanks again!

I gotta remove the steam shield on the Erie 5 chime and try it again. Pretty sure the shield was restricting steam flow to 3 of the chambers, which is why you only hear the octave (2 notes).
it is amazing how good the engine sounds when you pull off 10-15# of air and run her in the corner for the runbys. Makes it sound like we hauling a 50 car freight up Gulf Summit on the Erie!
