The Stockton Bight Sand Dunes need to be seen to be believed...
Covering an area of over 2,500 hectares along the 32km long stretch of beach, dunes of brilliant while sand climb up to 40 metres high with slopes up to 60 degrees.
The unvegetated wind blown sand dunes of Stockton Bight comprise the largest sand mass in mainland Eastern Australia. The dune mass moves landward at a rate of up to 10 metres per year.
During WWII the area was heavily fortified with large concrete tank taps, many of which are still in place today.
4WD Sandboarding shuttle will pick you up form the lower car park and transport you to the best sandboarding dunes available.
Sandboards and instruction are provided and you can sandboard for as long as you like before being transported back to the car park at the end of your dune adventure.
