This is a demonstration of the new rear-carb DLE-30 engine, running on the RC Sport Flyer thrust test stand, spinning an APC 18X6W 3D/Fun-Fly propeller. This propeller is a bit small (light load) for the DLE-30, but demonstrates the engine's ability to rev, and produces an impressive 19 lb thrust at 8,800 RPM.

  • I would try adjusting the high speed needle valve richer and seeing if that makes a difference. If top RPM drops, then try leaner instead. If that doesn't work, I would contact the seller and ask for their advice or consult an experience modeler in your area.

  • Do these engines need muffler pressure to run like glow engines or does the carburetor have enough vacuum to pull the fuel to the carb once running. If they do need muffler pressure is any kind of spark arrestor needed prior to the fuel tank?

  • Cuanto combustible por minuto consume, para máxima potencia?

  • i have problom whit mine, rpm only vary between 0 -50% of throttle, when I open more than 50% or more seems like not respons to speed up. any suggestion?

  • g'day mate! I just started my dle 30 on my cmpro 140 scale cessna. is it normal for these engines to vibrate the plane a fair bit? i have balanced my prop.

  • @JACUSTOE The spark plug elbow fit tightly to the spark plug, and stayed in place during all of our testing. Does the elbow on yours have any damage or does it feel loose when installing to the spark plug? Are you sure you got it all the way on?
