Well going off the brief description its hard to assess just what is going on in there as they only give the basic of the mechanism.

I am getting very interested in these rocket stoves/heaters as a source of hot water for hydronic heating in a home. As heating source is it possible to build one that could have a fuel source that would allow it to run for a few days or a week unatended.

The only concern I have with this is the absence of a pressure release valve for the main body of water being heated. A open type of tank would correct this problem, but a closed tank without a pressure release is no less than a bomb. Water boils at 212°F which is easily obtained with this method.
