TFF - Story behind Mothers Talk

Roland talks about the meaning behind "Mothers talk" with some talk about how "The way you are" was recorded. The interview is spliced with scenes from the video and the band doing warm up excersises/sound checks before a show in Germany (Apr 30, 1985).

I remember seeing the video when I was really young and thought it was about something serious but I had no idea what the song was about. The lyrics seemed so random and I could hardly understand what they were saying anyway. I wish I could've seen this interview at the time.

They had a reunion in 2004 and recorded some new stuff. There are a bunch of clips here on youtube showing them playing some of their songs (old & new). They actually don't look that much different believe it or not :)

Frankly i dont know why these guy arent bigger than radio head these days, they have much better music to listen out loud, instead of the depressing minimal rock type that RH plays.

ive been listening to 3 albums of radiohead and they bore me to tears...yes the music is good, but not very uplifting.

Tears for fears are genious.

If I had a dollar for every song written in the 1980s by limp-wristed Europeans about the certain oncoming nuclear holocaust between the USA & USSR (I'm looking at you, Scorpions), well, then I'd have several dollars for sure.
