@z09980 He had it made from Ironbark you find in the Brecilian Forest, a quest from the smith (kinda) in the Dalish Camp :) Hope that helped.

@z09980 euhm at the dalish camp you have to talk to the "merchant". there he tells you about some sort of wood where he can make good armor from (idk exactly+ srry for my bad english)
